Ilija Bubalo completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Long Island University where he was presented with the Clinical Excellence Award, given to the student with the highest clinical rotation grades.

While at Rutgers, Ilija was a student athlete for the men’s soccer team. He became interested in physical therapy as a profession after sustaining injuries to his ankle, knee, and hip. Ilija enjoyed rehabilitating his own body and thought that a profession helping others recover from injuries and pain would be the right fit. As a former athlete, Ilija enjoys treating athletes of all ages, especially runners and weightlifters.

Ilija was born in Belgrade, Serbia and moved to New York City with his family. He attended high school at McNair Academy in Jersey City, where he now treats patients. When he’s not in the office, he loves to exercise and is an avid bread baker.
