Our hand therapy services are provided by an experienced, skilled, Certified Hand Therapist.

Excel Physical Therapy’s Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Our CHT will work one-on-one with patients using the most advanced, evidence based technique to treat both operative and non-operative diagnoses. A typical hand therapy program may include:

  • Evaluation and treatment
  • Hands on manual therapy
  • Strength and endurance training
  • Splinting (custom and prefabricated)
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Scar and pain management
  • Edema control
  • Wound care
  • Home exercise program and education

Founded by Jason Furia, OTR, CHT, in 2007, ARS will mark EXCEL’s 24th office location, as well as the first location to provide occupational therapy. The Springfield office will offer certified hand therapy and splinting services.
