Heather Graham, PT, DPT, is the Clinic Director at EXCEL Physical Therapy in Rutherford, NJ, where she provides personalized, evidence-based care to help patients recover from injury, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love. In addition to orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, Heather now specializes in pelvic health physical therapy, treating women with conditions such as pelvic pain, postpartum recovery needs, and core dysfunction.

Originally from New Jersey, Heather earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Her passion for physical therapy began in high school while recovering from ankle surgery, inspiring her to pursue a career focused on helping others heal and regain strength.

Heather gained valuable clinical experience working with the United States Coast Guard and at RWJ Sports Physical Therapy & Performance Center (formerly Somerset Medical Center). She is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and trained in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), allowing her to identify movement dysfunction and create targeted, effective treatment plans. She has also earned certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) through the McKenzie Institute.

As a dedicated marathon runner, Heather has a strong interest in treating running-related injuries and sports conditions. Her athletic background gives her a unique perspective when working with active individuals, though she enjoys treating a wide range of orthopedic conditions across all activity levels.

Outside the clinic, Heather enjoys staying active through running, yoga, and hiking. She loves spending time with her dogs, Bailey and Jax, experimenting in the kitchen, and traveling whenever she can. A passionate sports fan, she cheers for the New York Yankees, New York Rangers, and the New England Patriots.
