Mike completed his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at the University of Scranton, where he went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school, Mike played on the baseball team, served as an assistant collegiate baseball coach, and interned with the San Francisco Giants organization.
In addition to being a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Mike is also certified as a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Medical—specialized training that enables him to design and implement off-season and in-season strength training programs, analyze players’ golf swings, and diagnose common injuries associated with golf.
Originally from Cranford, NJ, Mike developed an interest in physical therapy after suffering an ankle injury while playing high school baseball, which required extensive rehabilitation after surgery. He was fortunate to receive great physical therapy care, which allowed him to return to high school baseball and gave him the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. It was this experience that inspired Mike to help athletes return to play and help individuals achieve their maximum functional potential through the field of Physical Therapy.
Mike enjoys treating orthopedic and sports injuries in all patient populations. His individualized treatment plans involve both manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to help patients return to their prior level of function.
Outside the clinic, Mike enjoys playing baseball, golf, fishing, boating, working out, snowboarding, and going to the beach with family and friends.

Thank you to the @cranfordjaycees for having us at @trackfriday !! What a great event to raise funds for a variety of different causes (and to run off the last bit of turkey coma 🦃😴). We are so thankful to have Mike on the Excel team to brave the cold and volunteer his services. And congrats to the Jaycees for crushing their fundraising goal! And YOU can still contribute too! Just go to ➡️ https://www.mightycause.com/team/Cranfordnj and pick your own personal, meaningful cause. #excelptnj #gettingbettertogether

After a brief hiatus, we’re back with #WHYIPT Wednesday! Meet Mike - our new Westfield physical therapist. Mike is a former collegiate baseball player ⚾️, is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified ⛳️, and has experience working for the San Francisco Giants.
