On Wednesday, December 8, we hosted an educational webinar about hip impingement syndrome. We wrapped up 2021 with Summit Health Orthopedic and Sports Medicine surgeon, Dr. David Solomon, and EXCEL Morristown Clinic Director and Certified Advanced Hip Clinician, Brianne O’Connor, PT, DPT to give you some MORE hip tips into the new year. Dr. Solomon highlighted the causes, diagnostics and treatment options for hip impingement syndrome, while Brianne provided an exercise program to address hip impingement.

Dr. David Solomon is a member of Summit Health’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team. Dr. Solomon specializes in orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Solomon completed his orthopedic residency training at Mount Sinai Health System, where he served as a Chief Resident in his final year and subsequently completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. While there, he served as an assistant team physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and several NCAA programs. During that time, he immersed himself in sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. He has also trained extensively in minimally invasive hip arthroscopy, which can address hip problems without a large incision.

Brianne Gardner, PT, DPT graduated with honors from Columbia University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Prior to her graduate studies, Brianne graduated with a Health and Exercise Science degree from The College of New Jersey. She recently completed coursework and testing to master clinical skills related to non-arthritic hip conditions earning certification as an Advanced Hip Clinician.
