Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov suffered a significant wrist injury while playing for Russia in the 2014 International Ice Hockey World Championship in Belarus.
He flew from Belarus to New York for surgery to repair his injury and then remained in New Jersey for the entire summer so that he could have his post-operative Physical Therapy at Excel Orthopedic Rehabilitation. His physical therapy with us included treatments in our office as well as on ice sport specific rehabilitation and training at a local rink.
He returned to Washington D.C. just prior to the start of training camp so he could re-join his team and continue the rest of his recovery there.
