One of the most feared hitters in baseball, Yankees all-star outfielder Gary Sheffield suffered tendon and ligament damage to his left wrist midway through the 2006 major league season which required reconstructive surgery. Determined to return to the Yankees lineup before the end of the season Gary came to EXCEL for his physical therapy. After weeks of intensive rehabilitation, which included simulated underwater batting, he was back on the field helping lead the Yankees into the playoffs.
After his trade to the Detroit Tigers, Gary returned to EXCEL in the off-season for physical therapy following surgery on his throwing shoulder to repair damage to his labrum and rotator cuff. |
