Martin Brodeur - New Jersey Devils

Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur was only 8 wins away from breaking Patrick Roy’s record and becoming the winningest goalie in NHL history when he tore the biceps tendon in his left arm. Surgery was performed to repair the tendon and he chose EXCEL for the physical therapy he needed to make a full recovery. After many weeks and hours of rehabilitation he rejoined the team and returned to the ice. With 8 wins including 2 shut outs in his first 9 games back with the team, he broke the record with his 552nd win and now stands alone as the winningest goaltender in NHL history.
