A chronic hamstring injury to New Jersey Nets Forward Brian Scalabrine forced him to the bench during the 2006-07 NBA season. Unable to perform or compete as a result of the injury, he chose to come to EXCEL for the rehabilitation he needed to get back on the court. He later went on to win the 2007-08 NBA championship as a member of the Boston Celtics.
