Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks was an 11-time NBA all star, 2-time (1984, 1992) Olympic Gold Medalist and was named one of the “50 Greatest Players in NBA History”. During his exceptional 17-year career, Patrick turned to EXCEL when he needed physical therapy to get back on the court after surgery.

After his professional playing career had ended he returned to EXCEL as a coach with the Houston Rockets to help him recover from rotator cuff surgery. He later returned as coach with the Orlando Magic following rotator cuff surgery on his other shoulder.
