Elizabeth Figurelli, PT, DPT
NJ PT# 40QA01771600
From a young age, Elizabeth always had a keen interest in pursuing a career in the medical field. It wasn’t until she was treated herself for an ankle injury that Elizabeth found her true calling as a Physical Therapist.
Elizabeth attended St. Thomas Aquinas College for undergraduate study, where she had the opportunity to attend a 3-week vocational summer course at Oxford University in England. Shortly after graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Elizabeth attended New York Medical College where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her clinical affiliations were in various outpatient orthopedic settings, giving her the opportunity to further hone her skillset.
Elizabeth’s clinical interests include completing manual therapy certifications, managing sports-related injuries, as well as combat sports injuries. She has continued to show interest in refining her expertise with continuing education courses designed to enhance her manual therapy skill set, in addition to advancing her knowledge base for combat sports medicine. Elizabeth has taken a special interest treating patients with concussions, and has plans to further her skill set in manual therapy, general orthopedics, as well as concussion and vestibular rehabilitation.
Some of Elizabeth’s interests outside of the clinic are hiking, reading, and recreational boxing. Elizabeth also enjoys exploring museums and learning about history and art. She has recently taken up running as a new hobby, and just completed her first 5K a few months ago.
