Gary Flink is one of the two owners and directors of EXCEL Orthopedic Rehabilitation. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors degree in 1986. He went on to attend physical therapy school at Long Island University, where he earned a second Bachelors degree, as well as a Masters degree in Physical Therapy and graduated with the highest honors Summa Cum Laude in 1989. A competitive triathlete, Gary is a 4-time Ironman finisher, and has qualified twice for and completed the Ironman Triathlon World Championship held each year in Kona, Hawaii. Gary also enjoys fly fishing and the outdoors.

Matthew Gibble is one of the two owners and directors of EXCEL Orthopedic Rehabilitation. After receiving his Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 1986, he went on to work at a sports medicine facility in New York City. There he was involved for three years with the New York Knicks, where he provided their long-term physical therapy, as well as their pre-season and pre-signing orthopedic evaluations. A competitive triathlete, Matt has successfully completed Ironman USA in Lake Placid, N.Y. three times! He also enjoys fishing and boating in his spare time.

Bryan Del Rio, PT, MSPTBryan is the clinic manager for our Rutherford office and a regional manager for Excel. He grew up in Fitchburg, MA and graduated from Springfield (MA) College with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. He moved to New Jersey in the fall of 2001 and worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting before joining Excel in the fall of 2002. Bryan has developed a particular interest in treating disorders of the shoulder and knee. Outside of work his interests include working out, exploring New York City and enjoying new culinary experiences.

Thomas J. Labocki, PT, DPTTom is the clinic manager for our Fort Lee office. Tom graduated from Seton Hall University in 2001 with a B.S. in Biology. During his senior year, he began graduate studies in Physical Therapy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. While there, the program transitioned to a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), and Tom was a member of the first class to receive the DPT in the state. When not working, Tom enjoys playing hard at team sports such as soccer, basketball, and volleyball.

Jeffrey M. Ziegler, PT, MSPTJeff graduated from Misericordia University with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy. While at Misericordia, he played lacrosse for two years and was a member of the swim team for four years, being a two time captain and one time MVP. He was also a graduate assistant for one year and has experience coaching Master’s swimming and youth lacrosse. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, weight training, competing in triathlons, and rooting for his beloved Giants and Devils.

Lauren Kressaty, PT, DPTLauren is the clinic manager for our Waldwick office. Lauren graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She received several awards for her academic and professional accomplishments. While at USP, Lauren was a member of many organizations, including the Women’s Basketball Team, the Physical Therapy Club, and two National Honor Societies. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Nicholas Jovic, PT, DPTNicholas graduated with his Masters and Doctorate degrees from Ithaca College. While completing his undergraduate studies he worked as part of the EXCEL team as a physical therapy aide. Outside of working Nick loves playing sports, spending time with his family and friends, and enjoying the outdoors.

Mueller, PT, DPTChristopher is a graduate of Quinnipiac University, having received a bachelor's degree in health science and then a doctorate of physical therapy.  In his free time, Chris enjoys playing hockey, golf, and slow pitch softball.  He is an avid fan of the Devils, Yankees, and Giants.

Stephan Baber, PT, DPTStephan received his doctorate of physical therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine, St. Augustine, FL. Prior to the University of St. Augustine, he received his bachelor's degree of science at St. Joseph’s University. He has three years experience as a traveling physical therapist prior to beginning at Excel. In his free time, Stephan enjoys working out, playing basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.

Joanna Borawski, PT, DPTJoanna graduated from Seton Hall University with her doctorate in physical therapy. During her time at Seton Hall, she competed in the javelin, was the assistant track and field coach for multi-event athletes and was also the strength and conditioning coach for several team sports. She holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and from USA Weightlifting as a Sport Performance Coach. When not working, she continues to train and compete in the javelin throw at the national level. Joanna’s goals include qualification to the 2012 Track and Field Olympic Trials.


 

Allison Brown, PT, PhD

Allison Brown, PT, PhDAllison graduated with her undergraduate degree in physical therapy from The University of Vermont. She then went on to receive an advanced Master's degree in Pathokinesiology from New York University and her PhD in Physical Therapy from Temple University. While at Temple University, Allison conducted her doctoral dissertation work examining the effects of running related fatigue on hip joint motion and hip muscle function in female runners with iliotibial band syndrome. In her free time, Allison enjoys running, doing yoga and spending time with her husband and two young children.

He started his career in the Boston area but then later re-located to New Jersey and began working at Excel. She started her professional career in New York City working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic with emphasis on sports rehabilitation. Her experience there enabled her to advance clinically and hone her manual skills and she eventually moved to New Jersey and joined the team at Excel. In her spare time, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming and travelling.

Katya Semoukhina PT, DPTKatya received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University, with advanced coursework in clinical orthopedics. Prior to earning a DPT Degree, Katya was a professional skater and has worked as a figure skating coach/choreographer for 7 years. Katya is also a certified Pilates instructor through the Kane School of Core Integration in NYC and enjoys incorporating Pilates as a means of therapeutic rehabilitation. In her free time, Katya loves doing yoga, dance, travel and spending time with her family and friends.

Originally from Long Island, he developed an interest in Sports Medicine and Kinesiology while running track in high school. In his time outside of work he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing sports and following the Yankees and Jets.

Raymond Younghans, MSPTRay graduated from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. He spent his undergraduate college years earning a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science at Barry University in Miami, FL, where he was a member of the baseball team. Ray has particular interest in sports injuries and helping athletes get back in the game. He continues to play baseball and hockey competitively.

Laura AshLaura joined our staff in July, 2003 as the office manager at Excel. She is a graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. She previously worked as the office manager for a physical medicine and rehabilitation facility in Manhattan. Laura enjoys hiking, rollerblading, pilates, water sports and dance.

She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with her A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistance and a B.S. in Kinesiology. Adrienne incorporates her years of clinical experience, along with her enthusiasm and passion to help others, to promote EXCEL and its unmatched and unique approach to providing quality care. She was also an adjunct professor for the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Bergen Community College from 2004-2006

Elizabeth FerrettiElizabeth began working at EXCEL in January, 2001 as a part-time secretary/receptionist, and the following June began full-time employment. In January, 2002 she joined the billing department, and is now our Billing Administrative Manager. Elizabeth graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Psychology. She is continuing her studies to become a CPA.
